Marry accidentally spills tea all over the idol, breaking her phone. Realizing that the Dan can help her learn to control her strange ability, Momo agrees to join their group. There she meets Kano, who explains their Eye Abilities, Marry, a shy, young-looking girl. Momo is a popular idol with the strange ability to catch the attention of people, and she starts explaining how she meets the Dan.Īfter a harrowing incident caused by her strange ability and quitting her job over the phone, Momo meets Kido, who brings her to the Mekakushi Dan's hideout. The group consists of Tsubomi Kido, Kousuke Seto, Shuuya Kano, Marry Kozakura, and, to his surprise, his younger sister Momo. Shintaro wakes up in a bedroom to find a group of young individuals calling themselves the " Mekakushi Dan". With Ene's help, he frees the shopping mall, but a shot rings out and he falls unconscious.
Shintaro devises a plan to escape but needs a distraction, which is suddenly granted. As he is sitting with the other hostages, he encounters a strange young man. Terrorists attack the shopping mall Shintaro is in and lock it down, and he is taken hostage. Due to the Obon Festival, he cannot order more supplies via mail, so Shintaro therefore has to leave his house for the first time in two years. On August 14th, one of Ene's pranks causes them to accidentally break his keyboard and mouse. The story starts with Shintaro Kisaragi, an 18-year-old high school dropout and shut-in, and the mysterious cyber girl " Ene" that lives in his computer. Haruka asks each member of the Mekakushi Dan about what a "friend" is to them. Eventually, she wakes up from her dream and finds everyone safe and alive in the Mekakushi Dan hideout. She attempts to use the powers of the Snake of Combining Eyes against the snake to stop him and turn him to stone, not wanting to live in a world without her friends.
Marry dreams about Snake of Clearing Eyes killing Seto after he already got rid of every other Mekakushi Dan member. Shion, who is worried about the future of her little daughter Marry, is writing a diary about her feelings, which Marry happens to read in tears several years after her mother's death. These chapters are not set in the Manga Route.
